Murupara Motor Camp
Our tent sites are geared to ensure you have room to enjoy your stay with us. Here at Murupara Motor Camp, we are lucky enough to have more than five acres of grounds. While some of this is dedicated to campervans, there is plenty of room to pitch your tent and enjoy what our region has to offer!
Tent sites are $20.00 per site per night for up to two people, with $5 per additional person per night.
Children under 5 are free.
Please note we are happy to negotiate rates if you are organising a rally or other large group.
We are pet friendly but we do have rules. All pets must remain on a collar and leash at all times and must be under control of its owner. All Doggy doo bags must be carried and used. Management reserves the right at any time to refuse or eject a pet that is inconveniencing or a danger to other camp users.
Absolutely no smoking is permitted in any building on the camp grounds. If you smoke around your tent or camper, please ensure you do not dispose of your butts on the ground.
Free wi-fi is available for guests use, please ask us for details.
All guests can use the vegetables and herbs provided in the gardens and fruit from the fruit trees when in season.
Our laundry is situated in the lower complex and both washing machine and dryer require $2 gold coins to operate. If you require washing liquid, this is available at the office for 50 cents per wash.
A spa is available for $15 per person for half hour. You MUST shower before use. Booking is advisable.
If you catch fish, a fish smoker is available. Please be advised that as we live on the edge of the largest man-made forest in the Southern Hemisphere, in the height of summer, lighting any kind of fire is prohibited. The camp provided and supervised smoker is permissable, all others will not be.
A games room is on site which has a pay pool table, board games, TV and a library of books. A small library of DVD's is available for hire.
The camp carries a small store for basic camp supplies including fresh milk and free range eggs. The store is expected to increase in size in the main complex by autumn 2014 once renovations are complete.
The camp has access to the Murupara Community Pool which is open between September and March of each year and there is a swimming area in the Rangitaiki River just a minute's walk away.
